Launch of the Deliver Change 'Visible' Air Pollution Initiative

Deliver Change invites you to the launch of our initiative: Let's Make Air Pollution Visible. The initiative builds on extensive current media interest, and brings together academics, businesses, government, and communities to better measure and mitigate air pollution.

We have an interesting morning planned discussing next steps in addressing air quality and taking the AirSensa project national in the inspiring setting of the Wellcome Trust’s HQ building at 215 Euston Road. We are excited to announce that the Wellcome trust support our Initiative and event:

“The Wellcome Trust recognise the serious health and economic problems posed by air quality and believe monitoring is essential in increasing our understanding of these impacts. We are excited to be installing Airsensa technology on the exterior of our head office and museum buildings and will be looking into expanding this in the future beyond our core estate to the wider community. We are proud to be hosting the Visible campaign launch at our head office on the 29/06/15 and believe that there is significant scope for organisations to contribute to this exciting project, encouraging long term positive changes”

Event details

It's happening at the Wellcome Trust at 9am on Monday 29th June.

Registration starts at 8:30 and the event will finish before noon. Attendees will include policy-makers, influencers, facilitators, and many of our partners.

Presentations and panel discussions will focus on combatting air pollution and using AirSensa in education, health, business involvement and open data amongst others, and some of our speakers include Imperial College, a leading London School, GDF SUEZ, CBRE, Ogilvy and CitySprint. There will be breaks in between with coffee, tea and nibbles, and plenty of time for networking. The event will end at 12:00.

The AirSensa project is building the world's largest network of urban air quality monitors, collecting key air quality data right down to the individual street level. Piloted and initially rolling out in London, AirSensa provides a critical step in the solution to the issue of urban air pollution bringing us closer to making UK cities healthier, more liveable and economically productive.
The 'Visible' initiative launches AirSensa on the national stage, building the monitoring network across the country to generate the data to plan effective avoidance strategies and reduction solutions.
